Early Career Teacher Maths Subject Knowledge Programme 2021-2022

Maths subject knowledge 3 day programme to support quality first teaching, subject knowledge and pedagogy in mathematics.

A professional development series of three full day workshops designed for ECTs or recently qualified teachers who wish to develop their subject knowledge in line with teaching for mastery.  The course includes: CPA approach, curriculum progression and design of accessible lessons for ALL children. These workshops will also provide valuable reflection and collaboration opportunities for ECTs.

Where: All Saints Junior School, Lea Wood Road, Fleet. GU51 5AJ

Time:  9.30am —3.00pm (participants will be provided with lunch)

Cost:  £50 per term (total of 3 workshops—one workshop per term.  Total cost £150)

Aim   These workshops are aimed to develop deep subject knowledge, support the planning of high quality maths lessons and deeper understanding of the progression of core concepts within the primary curriculum. Participants will also explore the core principles of mastery and pedagogy within the maths classroom. Sessions will be led by Kirsty Kingham - NCETM Mastery Specialist, Professional Development and School Development Lead.
