Early Career Teachers (ITTECF & Appropriate Body)

School-Led Induction and Fidelity Checking

Where leaders have opted to offer their own school-led ECTP, the DfE require Appropriate Bodies to check that all ECTs have access to an induction programme based on the ITTECF. This additional quality assurance will confirm that the training and support provided to the ECT has covered the ITTECF "learn that" and "learn how to" statements in sufficient breadth and depth.

Through the fidelity checking process, we build strong relationships with school and programme leaders so that we can support them in their delivery of a high-quality induction programme that is individually-tailored to their setting and ECTs. We do all of this with the greatest respect paid to the workload and well-being of every colleague involved. An indication of fidelity checking fees can be found below.

If you'd like to explore the school-led option and discuss if it would be appropriate in your setting, please contact the Hub on tshub@sfet.org.uk or on 01252 986890.
